Season-Long Tick Control in Michigan

Ticks have a way of turning your own backyard into off-limits territory: hiding in tall grass, shrubs, and shady edges, waiting to hitch a ride on you, your kids, or your dog. Our Tick Defender program pushes them back past the property line so you can spend more time outside and less time checking for hitchhikers. It's an easy add-on to your Pest Defender plan that goes after ticks from two directions all season long.

WHAT'S THE VALUE OF OUR TICK DEFENDER PROGRAM?

Tick Defender doesn’t just chase ticks off the patio – it goes after them where they live and breed, and the hosts that carry them onto your property in the first place. A two-tiered, season-long approach means fewer ticks, more backyard, and real peace of mind.

Two-Tiered Attack

We hit ticks from two angles at once: a liquid barrier around your property and home, plus targeted bait stations that take out the rodent hosts ticks rely on.

EPA-Approved Products

Our bait stations use Fipronil, the same trusted active ingredient found in most tick collars for pets - to kill blacklegged ticks at the source.

Targeted, Not Wasteful

Ticks don't live in your sunny, manicured lawn - they wait along the shaded edges. We treat where they actually are: property lines, tall grass, shrubs, and bushes.

Expert Technicians

Our experienced, licensed professionals apply every treatment with precision and care for your family and pets.

Season-Long Coverage

Three scheduled visits across spring, summer, and fall keep tick pressure down through the entire outdoor season.

An Easy Add-On

Already on our Pest Defender plan? Tick Defender bolts right on - no extra appointments to juggle, just more time enjoying your yard.

A TWO-TIERED ATTACK ON TICKS

Most tick treatments stop at a single spray. We go further, hitting ticks from two directions for season-long control:

1. Liquid Perimeter Barrier

We apply a liquid barrier treatment along the perimeter of your property and the perimeter of your home, focusing on the tall grass, shrubs, and bushes where ticks wait for a host.

2. Rodent Bait Stations

We place four bait stations at the corners around your home, each holding a specialized product containing Fipronil, the same active ingredient in many pet tick collars. Ticks feed on mice, voles, and rats, so this targets the ticks riding on those rodents and the ones living in their burrows, breaking the cycle at the source. Stations are refreshed on the same visits as your liquid treatment.

Three Visits, All Season Long

  • Spring: one visit between March and May
  • Summer: one visit between June and August
  • Fall: one visit between September and November

What We Target

Tick Defender focuses on blacklegged (deer) ticks and the other common ticks that turn up around Southeast Michigan homes, along with the rodent hosts that carry them onto your property.

Where we treat: We don’t broadcast spray your lawn, because ticks avoid sunny, manicured grass. Our technicians treat the perimeter and the reachable zones along your property’s edges (roughly 1 to 3 feet in). We don’t enter wood lines or treat entire wooded or meadowed areas.

BIG COVERAGE FOR JUST $39/MONTH

Tick Defender starts at just $39/month for properties up to ½ acre, with pricing increasing $10/month for each additional ¼ acre. Like our Pest Defender program, we make it easy on your budget – pay monthly or cover the full year up front, whichever you prefer.

Other Terms & Conditions

Tick Defender is an add-on to our Pest Defender program and is not offered as a stand-alone service. We offer several payment options for your convenience: pay in full up front or in installments over the 12-month period. We keep a credit card/ACH on file and charge automatically. Unless otherwise specified, the program is recurring and renews on the scheduled date.
