We hit ticks from two angles at once: a liquid barrier around your property and home, plus targeted bait stations that take out the rodent hosts ticks rely on.
Our bait stations use Fipronil, the same trusted active ingredient found in most tick collars for pets - to kill blacklegged ticks at the source.
Ticks don't live in your sunny, manicured lawn - they wait along the shaded edges. We treat where they actually are: property lines, tall grass, shrubs, and bushes.
Our experienced, licensed professionals apply every treatment with precision and care for your family and pets.
Three scheduled visits across spring, summer, and fall keep tick pressure down through the entire outdoor season.
Already on our Pest Defender plan? Tick Defender bolts right on - no extra appointments to juggle, just more time enjoying your yard.
Most tick treatments stop at a single spray. We go further, hitting ticks from two directions for season-long control:
1. Liquid Perimeter Barrier
We apply a liquid barrier treatment along the perimeter of your property and the perimeter of your home, focusing on the tall grass, shrubs, and bushes where ticks wait for a host.
2. Rodent Bait Stations
We place four bait stations at the corners around your home, each holding a specialized product containing Fipronil, the same active ingredient in many pet tick collars. Ticks feed on mice, voles, and rats, so this targets the ticks riding on those rodents and the ones living in their burrows, breaking the cycle at the source. Stations are refreshed on the same visits as your liquid treatment.
Three Visits, All Season Long
What We Target
Tick Defender focuses on blacklegged (deer) ticks and the other common ticks that turn up around Southeast Michigan homes, along with the rodent hosts that carry them onto your property.
Where we treat: We don’t broadcast spray your lawn, because ticks avoid sunny, manicured grass. Our technicians treat the perimeter and the reachable zones along your property’s edges (roughly 1 to 3 feet in). We don’t enter wood lines or treat entire wooded or meadowed areas.
Tick Defender is an add-on to our Pest Defender program and is not offered as a stand-alone service. We offer several payment options for your convenience: pay in full up front or in installments over the 12-month period. We keep a credit card/ACH on file and charge automatically. Unless otherwise specified, the program is recurring and renews on the scheduled date.
